Meet the team

BWPA is made up of a team of passionate individuals dedicated to celebrating the beauty of photography, British nature, and the art of storytelling through images.

Get to know the faces behind the scenes who make our competitions possible.

BWPA is more than just a gallery of images; it is a celebration, a reminder of the enduring beauty of British wildlife and a call to preserve our natural spaces.
— Will Nicholls, Director

Will Nicholls - Director

Will is a professional wildlife cameraman and photographer from the UK. He has been behind the camera since 2007.

Picking up a career-launching award in BWPA as a young photographer, Will has since won a string of awards in photography competitions before jumping into natural history film-making.

Coming full circle, Will is now the Director of BWPA, and focuses his time on promoting high ethics in wildlife photography whilst encouraging amateur and professional photographers alike to capture the beauty and the diversity of British wildlife and natural spaces.

More than a competition, BWPA is a labour of love with a myriad of moving parts, involving intricate organisation, exciting collaborations, excellence in photography, and fostering a community of passionate photographers and nature enthusiasts.
— Audrey Granger, Manager

Audrey Granger - Manager

As an award-winning nature photographer herself, Audrey works behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the BWPA competition and event night each year.

With an MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation and a passion for photography, Audrey has travelled, worked with, and photographed wildlife and landscapes across the globe, showcasing the beauty of our planet from Arctic Norway, through wildlife rehabilitation centres, all the way to the Canadian Rockies.

To be involved with an exhibition that showcases the very best images of British wildlife is both an honour and a pleasure. It is very rewarding to know that the show inspires, engages and excites visitors of all ages on the topics of nature and conservation. Managing a tour where the content of the exhibition is not only stunning, but educational and worthwhile too, makes the BWPA a dream to work on.
