Top tips for entrants

  1. Submit only your very best images. Remember the important points: in focus, well exposed, good composition. Look for new or interesting angles for originality.

  2. Let friends and/or colleagues appraise your images. Sometimes a new eye will see things you miss and their objectivity can be invaluable.

  3. Read the description for your chosen categories carefully. These descriptions give hints as to what the judges are looking for in a winning image.

  4. Make sure you adhere to the competition rules.

  5. Please adhere to the laws protecting wildlife and approach your photography in an ethical way, ensuring that your subjects remain undisturbed by your presence.
